Obi-Wan is Another One

I found it amusing that an Australian newspaper is reporting that more and more people are naming their children after science fiction characters. My cousin Obee, who immigrated to Australia many years ago, named his first-born son Obi-Wan. Don’t believe me? Go ahead, google it.

Oh wow seriously? So did he have a brother — Obi-Two? hwahwahwa

Maybe that’s why I don’t have kids yet…I was planning
to name him Obi-Juan. Or Bruce Wayne. Depends if it’s a girl or a boy. ;)

Then there was that Chinese couple who want to name their kid “@”.

No brother yet. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he did name his second son Obi-Two. Crazy cuz.

Bruce Wayne eh? Oh and the Chinese kid, how’s his e-mail address going to look like? @@gmail.com? at@gmail.com? Hey, wait a minute, that’s another Star Wars allusion: AT-AT. Hehe.

Lemon? I didn’t even see that. You’re right. Together, you’ll make some sort of tangy concoction (Pepper, Lemon, Candy, Pickles)!

I didn’t know Tina got married already – and with 2 boys! Haha@ Obee naming his son Obi-Wan. His wife Lemon might as well be grouped with me and my siblings :) .

back in grade school, i was on the school bus with sisters, Peachie Pie, Apple Pie and Cherry Pie. Behind their backs we kidded that they probably had brothers named Pamaypay and Tinapay.

Personally, I prefer the Star Wars names. Obi-Juan is precious!

Ah, taking the school bus. I still remember our driver’s names: first, Mang Romy, then Mang Frankie. The ride home was like the time to hang out with kids from other grades, both older and younger. It was fun!
