You Twit!

Ok, that’s enough “tweet” posts on my blog homepage. My blog has devolved into the “what-I-ate-for-dinner” type, something I’ve always dreaded of it becoming. Granted, that’s what Twitter is all about: being able to write seemingly irrelevant posts for many to follow (Twitter’s tagline should be: Getting stalked has never been easier!). And I signed up with Twitter for that very reason. There’s some value in being able to post about something that would otherwise be a fleeting thought or moment, permanently stamped on the ether of the internet. Populating my blog with tweets, I thought, was a great way to have ‘fresh’ content on my blog. I used the plug-in Twitter Tools to publish all my tweets for the day in one post. The problem is, all I had on the homepage for days on end was tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet!

So I’m removing my tweet posts from my homepage. They’ll still be available to be viewed in the archives, and of course, on my Twitter badge in the sidebar. I’m using the Category Visibility plug-in to exclude the Twitter category from the homepage.* I’m back, however, to my original dilemma, which is creating fresh, “real” content on my blog. *sigh*

*sort of like what ms. renaissance girl has done for a while now, separating her blog posts from her blurts (hey, ms. mona’s quite the pioneer, isn’t she?).
