Slain Peace Corps volunteer Julia Campbell’s last post in her blog, Julia in the Philippines, is entitled “Buhay Pa Tayo” (We’re Still Alive). She disappeared April 8 while hiking by herself. Searchers found her body in a shallow grave in a dry river bed in Banaue, Ifugao. Authorities believe foul play was involved.
Her blog profile says: “At the age of 38, I decided to step out of the rat race of New York, join the Peace Corps and board a plane for Manila. This blog is dedicated to my adventures in the Philippines for the next two years. Wish me luck.”
