100000th visit

I got the 100,000th visit to my site today. It took eight years of this site being online and three years of this weblog’s existence to get there. I know it’s small compared to some of you blogging heavyweights out there, nevertheless it’s a worthy milestone to write about, methinks.

Here’s the entry on the 10,000th visit back in 2003.

Now about the 100,000th visit. It came in from a typical visitor that supplies the most traffic to my site. They come in here through Google’s image search to view a certain picture from this entry. Care to guess which one? Yup, that one. These visitors are usually from Europe, Latin America or Canada. What’s sad is, if it weren’t for them, my site counter would be maybe down in the low 50k still.

Here’s a snapshot of the 100,000th visit:

Apple’s New Data Center

Wednesday, March 1st, 2006

There was confusion at Digg.com a couple of days ago whether the new data center that Apple bought recently is in Newark, NJ or Newark, CA. It turns out it’s in Newark, CA.

Someone provided a Google map link to the place so like a dork, I headed out there yesterday and took some pictures. It’s only a couple of exits away from where I live.

I’m not exactly sure if these are the buildings that Apple bought but the entire business park is a ghost town of vacant buildings save for a couple of occupied ones.
