Please tell the wife, from one mom to another: Tivo is your friend. You can fast forward through the ads (note: no ads to tell your kids what "the" toy is this season or what sugar cereal they must have in the morning). And you never have to channel surf again: just tell Tivo what to record and when (+5 min. at the beginning and endings) and you're all set. I love the thing, can you tell?
