I was surprised to discover that my portfolio site is one of the featured ones at the bottom of this site’s homepage. I guess I still fool some people sometimes, hehe. PixelBureau.com is put together by a bunch of kids from Zamboanga. I also happened to stumble upon this Pinoy art portal, FilipinoArt.net, which focuses more on traditional art.

April’s been a busy month. The spring cleaning that began last winter is still ongoing. A few yard sales have come and gone but the garage seems as full as ever.

Some of the design books pictured above are seriously dated but I have a hard time letting go of them (do you think it’s time to toss Fresh Ideas in Promotion from 1994?). It was difficult parting with 4-years’ worth of MacAddict magazines and accompanying CDs (from year one to four). But I know they’re in good hands. I sent them all in a balikbayan box to a worthy recipient, Ernie, who is webmaster of PhilMUG and Apple employee no., uh, 8123? (Oh yeah, he’s got a personal blog now too. Check it out.)

Obsessive-compulsives everywhere, rejoice! There is now a hand-scanning* device that detects germs that improper hand-washing fails to remove (”Quick! Someone open up a Tokyo office!”). The contraption will only be sold to hospitals and restaurants initially but once it’s available to the public I think I’ll get one. It’ll be nice to have around the kitchen. I’d better hide it from my three-year old though. He has developed an irrational preoccupation with cleanliness. He may totally overload it!
