Former Vice President Al Gore joins Apple’s board of directors, filling a spot left vacant by Oracle CEO Larry Ellison. Hmmm, would Gore now claim he “took the initiative” in creating the Macintosh? Tee-hee.
Update: Ultra-conservative Rush Limbaugh is none too happy about the Apple-Gore news. Rush is an avid Mac user and is horrified that “Algore” has been “elected” to Apple. Well, he should know that Steve Jobs himself is a “vegan-Hinduist-Democrat.” But he probably finds consolation in the fact that the Commander-in-Chief is also a Mac user. Anyway, as folk from both sides of the political divide share a common computing platform, I say that the Macintosh is the computer “for all of us.”
